How To Lift Your Mood

Friday, December 16, 2016

There are times when a current situation drags you down, a word from somebody offends you, or getting results that you don't even expect can make your day a bit blue and gloomy. I want to share the five methods that I've been doing to get through a bad day, hoping that it can help you too!

1. Give yourself a break.
Inhale. Exhale. Find a peaceful place. Give yourself at least thirty minutes to breath, relax, reflect and recollect. It's okay to cry. You have to accept your feelings no matter how strong you thought you maybe. This is the perfect time to vent our everything in order to feel whole again.

2. Think of your goals and dreams.
Always remember the important things that keeps you going. Realize that your goals and dreams are so much bigger than your bad day. There are so much in you that you will discover in the right time.

3. Talk to people you trust and to those who make you happy.
We tend to keep things ourselves because there are things that we can handle alone. But there are circumstances that we need other people to lift our souls. Try talking to your trusted friend or trusted member in the family. Their undoubted motivation and support will surely help you get through and move forward for they will understand you.

4. Talk to God.
"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." I Peter 5:6-7

5. Smile!
It can be a rough day but you should never ever let anything or anyone to put you down. It's way more fun if you are going to look at your problems as "challenges". There are lessons and a whole lot more that you may discover along the way. Always remember that the way you perceive things and the way you react also matters. Try having an open mind and a positive outlook. You can always get through whatever you are having right now! I know you can! So stand up and smile! Face your challenges with a more motivated YOU! You can do it!
